Heather Batt is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Sciences at Clemson University. She has been teaching at Clemson for 22 years. Her courses include Introduction to Packaging Science, Packaging Perishable Products, and Packaging and Society. Packaging and Society is students’ most formal introduction to Sustainability and Packaging.
Heather serves as a Delegate to Faculty Senate for the College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences. She has been the recipient of teaching awards, both nationally and at Clemson University. Heather holds degrees from Princeton University (BA) and Clemson University (PhD).
When not teaching, Heather’s passion is her family, raising three boys with her husband Greg and dog Fenway. She is actively engaged in her community, church, and sports.
