Diverse applications, like refrigerants and plastics, had experienced the evolution of sustainability targets. In refrigerant's case, it started from ozone depletion concerns and then adding global warming concerns in its policy and regulation at international, national and state levels. In plastics, it started with we have multiple targets covering decarbonization, circularity, and impact minimization in all other critical areas. We will hear from the panelists about the roles of material discovery and material management in the 'Quest to Zero', where we are and where we need to catch up swiftly, as well as how to get to our goals and what would be needed to succeed.
